जो सोचा था वहीं किया उसने

जो बनना था वही उसने बनके दिखा भी दिया

सपने साकार करने में कितने संघर्ष झेले उसने

निडर होकर जिसने खेला क्रिकेट के मैदानों में

छोटे शहर से वो था आया अपना लोहा मनवाने

भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम संग और उमंग भरी अपनी कप्तानी से

जीत कर दिखाया विश्व कप की ट्रॉफी

रातों रात जिसने इतिहास रच दिया

आज क्रिकेट जगत से उसने संन्यास भी ले लिया
