पैसों के रिश्तो से दोस्ती नहीं होती

दिल खोलकर जो खर्च करता है

जेब में अपने कितने हैं पैसे

वह कभी झांक कर नहीं देखता है

जेब खाली अगर आज हो भी जाए

खुशी के झनझन से जेब तो भर आए

आज कमाया कल फिर लुटाया

आज लुटाया तो कल फिर कमाया

कोई ऐसा भी करता जाता है

सिर्फ अपनी जेब भरता रहता है

किसी के पास होते हुए भी पैसे

दूसरों की जेब क्यों ताकता है वैसे

किसने कितना खर्च किया

कितना खर्च और कौन कौन करेगा

वह खबर सबकी रखता है

लेकिन खुद अनजान बनता फिरता है

कौन इन सबसे रिश्ते बनाता है

जो अपनों से किश्ते चाहता है

दोस्ती में किसने कितना कुछ किया

उसका परवाह वो नहीं करता है

दोस्ती का मतलब जो समझ नहीं पाया

हमसे जो मतलब की दोस्ती करता है

दोस्ती के दरवाजे हमने उसके लिए बंद कर दिए

क्योंकि हमको भी अब कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता है

English Translation:

Money does not make friends

One who spends openly

How much money are you in your pocket

He never peeks

Even if the pocket is empty today

The pockets of happiness filled the pockets

Earned today, robbed again tomorrow

Robbed today, earned it again tomorrow

Someone goes to

Just keeps filling his pocket

Money in hand

Why do others have their wallets

Who spent how much

He keeps the news for everyone

Who wants installments from his loved ones

Who did so much in friendship

He doesn't care

The meaning of friendship is not understood

Who friendship with me means

We closed the doors of friendship for him
