गुरुदत्त कॉलोनी के रूम नंबर 38b में दो लोग 4 महीने से रेंट दिए बिना रह रहे थे,उनमें से एक दोस्त जिसका नाम अशोक जो कुछ दिन से रूम ऑनर को विनय के घर से आने के बाद रेंट देंगे ऐसा कह कर कुछ हफ्तों से अपने रूम ऑनर को समझाने की कोशिश कर रहा था।

 वैसे मकान मालिक समझदार थोड़ा था तो जरूर परन्तु हम जैसों की बातें मानने के अलावा और वो कर ही क्या सकता था। 

मगर ऐसा था कि जनाब विनय कहीं गया हुआ ही नहीं था हमने तो ऐसे ही फ्लो फ्लो में कह दिया ताकि रेंट के पैसे देने में कुछ समय और मिल जाए तब तक कुछ तो सोचना था। मकान मालिक के हिसाब से विनय अगले हफ्ते आने वाला था मतलब हमारे पास अब सिर्फ एक हफ्ते का ही समय बचा था।

अशोक के साथ उसका एक और दोस्त भी उनके साथ रह रहा था, जिसका नाम राज था। एक सुबह जब अशोक विनय और राज तीनों इत्मीनान से सो रहे थे। तभी अचानक जोर-जोर से दरवाजे पीटने की आवाज सुनाई पड़ी, विनय को नींद प्यारी थी उसने नजरंदाज कर फिर सो गया। 

अब बचे बाकी दो अब उनको देखना था कि दरवाजे पर कौन है पर राज की तो रात की उतरी भी नहीं थी कि उठकर दरवाजे तक जा सके। 

अब बचा अशोक उसे तो उठना ही था। कोई इतने बार तो दरवाजा नहीं ठोक सकता अशोक अधी नींद में यही सोच रहा था।

 परेशान होकर जैसे ही अशोक ने अपने घर का दरवाजा खोल कर देखना चाहा और उसने सोच भी लिया था जो भी होगा पहले तो वो इंसान जी भर के गाली खाएगा। फिर जब दरवाजा खोल कर अशोक ने अपने सामने वाले को देखना चाहा तो पिछले आधे घंटे से यह दरवाजा ठोकने वाला और कोई नहीं ये तो हमारा किशोर ही था।

 हमारे प्यारे किशोर जी ने दस्तक दिया और अशोक किशोर को देख हक्का बक्का रह गया कि यह एक हफ्ते बाद आने वाला था, दो दिन पहले कैसे आ गया।

आप सभी को बता दूं कि किशोर इस फ्लैट का मालिक था जिसमें हम रह रहे थे, दो हफ्ते का समय मिला था रेंट चुकाने के लिए परंतु वह 2 दिन पहले ही आ गया। वैसे किशोर जी की उम्र 40 साल, रंग थोड़ा सावाला होता तो अच्छा रहता परंतु सांवले जैसे भी नहीं थे हमारे किशोर जी, क्योंकि उनका शरीर का रंग चॉकलेटी द ब्लैक यानी काला चॉकलेट, और सर पर उनके कुछ बाल छोड़ बाकी बालों की नीलामी हो चुकी थी ऐसा मानो, बचे कुचे बालों से ही आगे का काम चला रहे थे। किशोर जी जो भी हो इंसान बड़े अच्छे हैं 4 महीने का रेंट कुछ ₹20000 होते हैं परंतु हमें उनको 40000 देना था।

 क्या है ना किशोर जी कभी-कभी भावुक होते तो नहीं पर हम कर दिया करते थे, जब किशोर जी विस्की की बोतल लेकर अपनी दुख भरी कहानी हमें सुनाते, और उसी का फायदा उठा कर हम अपना काम भी निकलवाते। वैसे किशोर जी किसी कॉमेडियन कैरेक्टर से कम नहीं थे। 

रूम में रह रहे सारे लोगों को यह बात शुरू दिन से पता था।

अब दरवाजे के एक तरफ किशोर जी और एक तरफ अशोक आमने सामने खड़े थे, किशोर जी ने बिना कोई फिजूल बात करते हुए सीधे मुद्दे पर बात किए, कि आज शाम 6:00 बजे तक या 8:00 बजे टाइम भी ले सकते हो। लेकिन अगर इस समय किराया नहीं दिए तो तुमको फ्लैट से निकाल दिया जाएगा और तुम्हारे जितने भी समान है वह जब्ती हो जाएगा। यानी जब रेंट दोगे तभी इस फ्लैट के अंदर घुस पाओगे, जय भोलेनाथ कहकर किशोर जी वहां से चले गए। अशोक सोच रहा कि अब आगे आखिर किया क्या जाए। 

किशोर जी के जाने के बाद अशोक विनय और राज तीनों बैठे सोच रहे थे कि अब कैसे करना है रेंट देने के पैसे थे नहीं और शाम तक किशोर जी को पैसे देने भी थे वैसे आज किशोर जी थोड़े ज्यादा ही सीरियस और परेशान लग रहे थे। अब सिर्फ हमारे पास अभी 4 घंटे बचे थे 6 बजने में या 6 घंटे भी मान सकते हैं। पता नहीं क्यों राज ने झटपट ऐसा आईडिया दिया कि अभी 4 घंटे है तो 2 घंटे में सारा सामान पैक हो जाएंगे, और बाकी 2 घंटे में हम आराम से सारे सामान को शिफ्ट भी कर देंगे। 

फिर अपने लोग सारे सामान की पैकिंग में लग गए वह लोग अपने सामान के साथ साथ कुछ ऐसे समान जो किशोर जी के थे, उसे भी पैक कर लिया गया। यह प्लान भी राज ने ही दिया था और अच्छा भी था।

कुछ ही देर में फ्लैट नं 38b ka सामान पूरी तरह से खाली हो चुका था और वे तीनों ने भी अपने तरफ से किशोर के लिए सरप्राइस भी छोड़ रखा था। राज का ही प्लान था किशोर जी के लिए तो सरप्राइज भी कोई अच्छा ही होगा, अब जब किशोर जी हमें यहां नहीं देखेंगे तब और करेंगे क्या इसी सफाई से बहुत खुश हो जाएंगे शायद उनकी थकान थोड़ी मिट जाए।

किशोर जी अपने वचन के मुताबिक शाम के 6:00 बजे आने वाले थे या रात के 8:00 बजे तकरीबन लेकिन वे अगले दिन पहुंचे। अब जैसा कि आप सब जानते हैं कि घर पूरा खाली हो चुका था बाहर गेट में ताले भी लग गए थे, मतलब कुल मिलाकर यह तीनों नौ दो ग्यारह हो ही चुके। जैसे ही किशोर जी फ्लैट नं 38b मैं ताला लगा देखता है तभी किशोर अशोक को फोन कर यहां कहता है कि मैं इस ताले के ऊपर एक और ताला लगा रहा हूं, अशोक ने भी किशोर जी के मजे लेते हुए कहां कि कुछ दिन की और समय दे दीजिए हम किराया दे देंगे वगैरा-वगैरा, पर अपना किशोर तो किशोर है किशोर ने सीधे कह दिया अगर तुमको तुम्हारा सामान चाहिए तो पैसे दे जाना और अपना सामान ले जाना ऐसा कहकर किशोर जी जो है वह बड़े ही विनम्रता से फोन आधे में ही कांट देते है। अब किशोर सोच रहा था कि अब उन लोगों को किसी भी हालत में किराया देना ही पड़ेगा, किशोर जी उस समय अपने आप को शाबाशी तो जरूर दे रहे थे कि जो भी मेरे साथ ऐसा करेगा उसका किशोर यही हाल करता है, और इधर अशोक और उसके दोस्त इसी बात पर बहुत ही मजे लेते हुए किसी दूसरे के रूम में इंजॉय कर रहे होते है।

कुछ दिन बीत गए अभी तक किशोर को अशोक की तरफ से कोई कॉल नहीं आया था। ना अशोक का पता था ना उसके किराया का और ना मेरी बेचैनी का, इधर अशोक ने तो फोन नहीं लगाया मगर किशोर बराबर सुबह शाम कई बार कॉल कर लिया करता था लेकिन अशोक फोन उठाया तब ना और उठाएं भी क्यों उसे जो करना था वह कर चला गया। किशोर अपने आप को खिलाड़ी समझता है तो हम क्या करें अशोक मन ही मन सोच रहा था।

किशोर जी ने अब फैसला कर लिया था की फ्लैट में जितने भी उसके समान है सारे सामान मै जब्त कर लूंगा,सर पर हाथ से खुजाते हुए जो बचे कुचे बाल थे उसे सैला कर बोले जो भी है उसे बेच के कुछ पैसे आ जाएंगे, बाकी बाद का बाद में देखा जाएगा। किशोर जी पहुंच गए वह रूम का ताला तोड़ने पहले तो अपने लगाए ताले को खोला फिर अशोक ने जो ताला लगाया था, उसको तोड़ने लगे तोड़ते तोड़ते ताला तो नहीं टूटा पर उसके लॉक पैनल निकल चुका था खैर दरवाजा खुल तो गया।

 अब जब दरवाजा खोल कर उसने कदम रखा तो अंदर का नजारा तो कुछ और ही कह रहा था, हॉल रूम और किचन जो कि पूरा खाली विरान पड़ा था सिवाय बड़े बड़े कचरे के थैले के, जब किशोर जी कमरे में घुसता है तो वहां का दृश्य को देख उनके चेहरे पर हल्के हल्के पसीने छूटने लगते हैं, गर्मी भी तो बहुत थी वहां जैसे ही किशोर जी फैन का स्विच चालू करता है फैन चलाने के लिए लेकिन यह तो हद ही हो गई सालों ने फैन भी नहीं छोड़ा उसे भी अपने साथ ले गए फिर बाथरूम के बाहर वाशिंग बाथ में अपना चेहरा धोकर चेहरा देखने अपना सर जैसे ही ऊपर करता है तो शीशे के जगह पर प्रश्नवाचक चिन्ह बना हुआ होता है और अपने किशोर जी मन ही मन सोच रहे होते हैं कि सालो ने तो बहुत कुछ ले ले गए।

उसके बाद किशोर जी करे तो क्या करें रूम में एक खाट रखा तो हुआ था पर उसमें गद्दे नहीं थे। ऐसे ही वहां जा कर बैठे और उन्हें टेंशन भी बहुत हो रहा था उन्हें समझ भी नहीं आ रहा था अब करे तो करे क्या फिर बिना बालों के अपना सिर पकड़ कर बैठ गए और सोच रहे थे कि मैं अपने आप को होशियार समझता था, और शाणा भी समझता था, जैसे ही किशोर अपने सर से हाथ हटाता है जब राइट साइड की तरफ नजर जाता है तो  सिर्फ एक न्यू पैक 500ml का नवरत्न तेल रखा होता है। अब किशोर जी को समझ में नहीं आता कि पूरे घर में कचरे के अलावा एक चीज नहीं छोड़ा और तो और वह लोग मेरा सामान भी ले गए, तो यह खाट में नवरत्न का तेल वो भी 500ml का क्यों छोड़ कर गए और इसी जगह पे वह नवरत्न तेल को वह से अपने हाथो में पकड़ता है और उसी के पास एक कागज का पर्ची में कुछ लिखा हुआ होता है की "आदरणीय किशोर जी टेंशन ना ले नवरत्न तेल लगाएं और टेंशन फ्री हो जाए क्योंकि इसमें है 108 आयुर्वेदिक जड़ीबुटी तत्व के गुण जिससे सर दर्द से भरी सारी टेंशन हो जाए पल में दूर इसीलिए तो हमारे माननीय अमिताभ बच्चन जी कहते हैं कि नवरत्न तेल लगाएं और ठंडा ठंडा कूल कूल हो जाए। इसे पड़ने के और इतना कुछ हो जाने के बाद अब किशोर जी का क्या हुआ होगा हमें नहीं पता, लेकिन कुछ ना कुछ तो बदलाव जरूर आए होंगे उनकी ज़िन्दगी में, बस इतनी सी थी ये कहानी।
